FAQs
Do you offer installation on the vehicle?
No, we do not offer installation on the vehicle. However, the tires are mounted onto the rims with (TPMS) tire pressure monitoring sensors, balanced and are ready to go. You can take them to ANY auto shop and they can install them on to your vehicle. Typical charge for such a service is $40-$80. You may also install them at home if you have a jack, Model Y jack pads and wrench/torque wrench.
What about lug nuts ?
You can use the original lug nuts. The lug nuts are not included.
How do you ship it to home?
Each wheel is shipped individually through a third party carrier such as UPS or Fedex. Each wheel is packaged to avoid any damages during shipping process. Although very rare but minor cosmetic scratches or scuffs could still arise and are not subject to warranty/return.
How do Michelin X-Ice winter tires compare with Pirelli Sottozero winter tires ?
The Michelin X-Ice is the industry’s highest rated and most sold winter tire for EVs. It is known for its exceptional braking and handling abilities in both wet and dry conditions. It is top rated by consumer reports, much higher than Pirelli. The X-Ice is a preferred choice due to its higher safety rating and longer life than Pirelli.
Does it fit the Performance Model?
This package is rated for top speed 130 mph while Model Y Performance models are capable of going upto 155 mph. While this package will fit the Performance versions of the Model Y, it is not recommended to drive beyond the threshold of 130 mph.
Can I buy just the tires without the rims or vice vera?
Everything comes prepackaged as a bundle. However, we have rims alone available for sale as well. Please contact us at orders@tesloid.com to buy just the rims.
Can I return the packages if unused?
Returns are NOT accepted due to nature of this item. Please note all sales are final.
Is there any warranty?
There is manufacturing warranty offered directly by Michelin for tires. There is 90 days warranty for the rims and 1 year for the TPMS offered by us. Please note, minor cosmetic scratches or scuffs are not covered under warranty.
