If you have an elderly person close to you in your life, then you’re likely aware of the struggles they may have getting into or out of a car. Something unique to pickup trucks is that in most cases, drivers can adjust the vehicle height to be changed. Luckily, for Cybertruck owners, the same holds true. Continue reading for steps on how to adjust the height of your Tesla Cybertruck.

On-Road Height Settings

There are a few different height options that can be set for day-to-day driving for the Cybertruck. Changes can be made by tapping Controls > Dynamics > Preferred Ride Height using the touchscreen in the car. Each ride height shown below is in relation to Medium, which is considered to be 0 inches.

  • High: 2.4 inches above Medium. In this setting, the height of the vehicle will automatically return to the preferred option after driving 100 feet, or when your speed reaches 25 mph.
  • Low: 1.6 inches below Medium. Similarly, the Cybertruck will return to the preferred height option after driving 100 feet, or when the speed hits 25 mph.
  • Entry: 2.2 inches below Medium. For this setting, the car will automatically return to the preferred ride height once driving speeds exceed 10 mph. This is the ideal setting for entering and exiting the vehicle.

Off-Road Height Settings

There are also road height settings that are ideal for off-roading. Once again, the heights shown below are in relation to Medium, which is 0 inches.

  • Extract: 5.9 inches above Medium, and is the maximum ride height designed for use when the Cybertruck is stuck on an underbody obstacle. When in this setting, the vehicle speed is limited to 10 mph, and once you exceed this number your car will automatically reset to the Very High setting.
  • Very High: 3.9 inches above Medium. This setting increases ground clearance and improves things like approach, breakover, and departure angles when off-roading. However, your speed will be limited to 25 mph, and the setting will automatically change to High if you exceed this number.
  • High: 2.4 inches above Medium. This will increase ground clearance to suit most off-roading scenarios at low and high speeds.

The Bottom Line

The steps on how to adjust the height of your Tesla Cybertruck are easy. When in your car, tap Controls > Dynamics > Preferred Ride Height and then simply choose what’s best for you. There are options for both normal on-road scenarios, as well as more unique off-road driving. However, most importantly, it can assist certain individuals when getting into or out of your car.
