Pickup truck owners can sometimes struggle fitting their vehicle into the garage at their residential home. The Tesla Cybertruck, however, is a uniquely shaped vehicle, that is different from any conventional truck. This has many prospective owners wondering if it will fit in their garage. Parking in covered spaces provides protection from external elements which is a major concern for many. So, will the Tesla Cybertruck fit in your garage? Continue reading for more.
Average Garage Sizes
If you’re eager to purchase a Cybertruck and wish to park it in your garage, the first thing you should do is measure the length, width, and height of the space if you don’t already know it. Garage sizes can vary greatly based on the type of residence and size of the home. For example, larger, detached single-family properties will often have a bigger garage than a townhome.
According to multiple sources, the average single-car garage size is 12 feet wide, 22 feet deep, and 7 to 8 feet high. Of course, this will vary based on the home, but we’ll use this as a guideline to judge if the Cybertruck can fit in a standard one-car garage.
NOTE: Other common sizes include 14 feet wide by 22 feet deep, as well as 16 feet wide to 24 feet deep, both with a height of 7 to 8 feet. Bigger sizes, of course, allow for more comfort when entering and exiting the car, as well as the potential for additional storage.
Tesla Cybertruck Dimensions
As mentioned at the top, the Cybertruck’s unique shape means its dimensions are different from the average pickup truck. Here are the ones you should care about:
- Overall Length: 223.74 inches, or 18.65 feet.
- Overall Width Including Mirrors: 95.01 inches, or 7.92 feet.
- Overall Width Folded Mirrors: 86.64 inches, or 7.22 feet.
- Overall Height at Medium Air Setting: 70.70 inches, or 5.89 feet.
Using the numbers above, it can be assumed that your Tesla Cybertruck can fit into an average-sized single-car garage.
NOTE: You can adjust the height of the car depending on the air setting it’s on. Additionally, you can also change the width based on whether the mirrors are folded or not. Be sure to play around with these settings as you try and fit it into your garage. Tesla has a guide with full dimensions in all situations for the vehicle.
The Bottom Line
Will the Tesla Cybertruck fit in your garage? If you have an average-sized single-car garage, then the car should fit. However, the best course of action for you is to measure your space yourself, and then use the dimensions for the vehicle above to determine if it’ll fit. Remember to factor in extra room to get in and out of the Cybertruck.
