One of the defining features of any Tesla vehicle is the huge, tablet-like touchscreen present in the car. Moreover, there are several unique features related to the touchscreen, such as being able to use streaming services like Netflix or Disney Plus, and playing music with media apps. However, a particularly popular feature is the Arcade. Continue reading for steps on how to play games on the touchscreen of your Tesla.
Accessing the Arcade
To start playing games in your Tesla, ensure your car is in Park, then tap the three dots at the bottom of the touchscreen and hit Arcade. Next, browse the list of available games and you’re all set!
The games you have in your car may vary based on where you’re located. However, here are some of the most popular ones:
- Don’t Require a Controller: The Battle of Polytopia, Mahjong, Sudoku, Sky Force Reloaded, Solitaire, Fallout, Stardew Valley, Backgammon, Beach Buggy 2, Chess, and 2048.
- Require a Controller: Cat Quest, and Cuphead.
NOTE: This list continuously changes over time, as Tesla can add or remove games at any time. For the most accurate list, take a look at the available games in your car.
Gaming Controllers
As seen above, for certain games, you’ll be able to connect a controller to enhance the gaming experience. For wireless controllers, they must be paired via Bluetooth the same way you would a phone. When sitting in your Tesla, follow these 5 simple steps to connect your device:
- Ensure your car is in Park, and that both the vehicle’s touchscreen as well as the controller are powered on.
- Ensure the device is discoverable. This is often done by pressing and holding a particular button on the controller.
- Tap the Bluetooth icon located at the bottom of the touchscreen and then hit Add New Device > Start Search. The centre display will show a list of all available Bluetooth devices within operating distance.
- Tap the controller you’d like to pair, and within a few seconds, you should be successfully connected.
- Open a game in the Arcade app and test to see if the controller works.
