Most new vehicles now have a feature that allows you to switch its drive mode, which typically adjusts factors like acceleration, handling, and more. This can help cater your daily driving experience to exactly how you want it. Thankfully, Cybertruck owners are able to do the same. Continue reading for steps on how to adjust the driving mode for your Tesla Cybertruck.

How to Make Changes

Making this adjustment is ideal for choosing how you’d like your Cybertruck to operate for day-to-day driving on public roads, which means these are not meant for off-roading. To make a change, simply tap Controls > Dynamics when sitting in your car.

You’ll see that you can choose between three drive modes, which include Comfort and Sport, Ride and Handling, as well as Preferred Ride Height. There are more finite options under each setting that’ll be outlined below.

NOTE: If applicable, there will also be an option called Beast if you purchased that trim of the Cybertruck. This is an extra setting that provides additional performance and acceleration.

Options for Customization

Here’s how the customization options break down for Acceleration:

  • Chill: This setting will limit acceleration to keep a smooth and gentle ride. When enabled, the word Chill will display on the touchscreen above the driving speed.
  • Standard: For this option, you’ll receive the normal and expected level of acceleration.

Additionally, see the choices available for the Ride and Handling setting:

  • Relaxed: This option will prioritize comfort over dynamic handling. Therefore, the overall ride will feel smoother and more comfortable, especially on uneven or rough roads.
  • Focused: Ideal for more dynamic driving, as a higher damping is provided. This means that the vehicle will feel more responsive and connected to the road than the Relaxed option.

Lastly, see the options for the Preferred Ride Height setting:

  • Lower: This will set the preferred ride height to Lower. At this height, the Cybertruck will remain at the Low setting by default on and off the highway, which optimizes handling and range.
  • Higher: Choosing this option will set the preferred ride height to Higher. At this setting, the car automatically adjusts between Medium and Low to balance comfort with handling and range. Additionally, on highways or while driving at greater speeds, the height will adjust back to Low.

The Bottom Line

The steps on how to adjust the driving mode for your Tesla Cybertruck are simple. When in your car, use the touchscreen to tap Controls > Dynamics. Once this is done, you’ll have options to adjust Acceleration, Ride and Handling, as well as Preferred Ride Height. The more finite choices you can make for each setting are listed above.
